Websites can be very difficult to create. It is a tedious job to perform and takes a lot of patience. When creating your website you have to be very organized. It is always good to do a layout page on paper and even write out your HTML first before trying to design it on the computer.
Before designing the website you must gather information. This could be anything from pictures to research. Most of the time you will have to go to the company wanting the website and see what they want out of their website. Whether it is selling a product or just trying to get their company name out there. When designing your page you have to think about all aspects: What age group will review this page?; Is it easily accessible?; Is the content easily understood?; Does the appearance of the site fit the topic?; Do all of your links work correctly?, etc.
Once you have your information gathered and a good layout you can start your website. I hope this information helps you with your design process and if you have any questions about your organization feel free to ask.
